Commissioned by Ink Global to create a series of sambal illustrations for Where Next?, Jetstar Asia’s bi-monthly in-flight magazine, this editorial project accompanied a feature on sambal culture in Surabaya, East Java.

The illustrations were developed to capture the richness and complexity of Indonesian sambal varieties, highlighting vibrant ingredients and layered textures to complement the travel narrative. Featured in the May-June 2024 issue, the artwork adds visual depth and warmth to the cultural storytelling within the publication.
